My heart hurts for them and they need Jesus. I want to help them feel heard and seen and cared for in my presence, I pray that God will use me and give me wisdom. This is the most manipulative & scripture-twisting teaching I have heard in a long time outside of the word-of-faith/prosperity gospel charlatans. This "sermon" is all LAW, LAW, LAW and not actually about gospel faith in Jesus Christ who saves us from our sins - sins - not saves us for better perspective, significance, position, or action. This message replaces the work Christ did in justification with "the work you need to do" to get God's favor. It is a false gospel of works righteousness. I don't have an "Isaac" because the account of Abraham in Genesis and his faith in Hebrews IS NOT about me! God has not promised to me "I will make you a great nation... And make your name great... And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed." Genesis 4:3 does not say Abel gave "some" of his crops. That's an insertion to make the English of the NLT read smoothly, but is not part of the original language. The Hebrew just says Cain brought "fruit/first-fruits" of the ground. You can't make the point "Cain gave some; Abel gave best" or "Cain brought what was leftover" because that IS NOT what the Bible says or even implies.

I have been listening to traders point for a cpl years now. I have listened to every service available on the podcast app at least twice by now. Today is a painful day for me every year. This year I think is especially hard though. Today is the 6 year anniversary of the death of my sister. I got a phone call at 3:21 Feb 27th 2018 that my sister was gone of an overdose. Last year I lost our mom and yesterday found out my SIL is dying of colon cancer ( only 37). On Monday I got a call that my closest aunt is in ICU. This morning I went to the gym and then into the tanning room and was just sobbing. Begging god to just answer me and help the pain I’m feeling. It was almost palpable at that moment it hurt so badly. I had already begun the podcast shortly before my crying and begging and praying began. When I finally got quiet it was around minute 11 And then I was answered. I have never had such a clarifying moment before. I never ever felt the warmth and comfort about all the sadness and loss before rhat moment. I’m almost in shock of the entire moment honestly. Has he always spoken to me so clearly??? Idk 🤷‍♀️ but ty traders point for god working through you for me.
